Making Cents: Minimizing New ATM Fees

Now that fees have been raised for using other banks ATMs, consider other options:

Withdraw more money less often, cash checks (American Express, Hilton Hotels and some airlines make it easy for their customers to cash checks), use credit cards more often if you don’t carry a balance. Also, talk to your bank--some will not pass these ATM fees on to customers with large balances or certain kinds of accounts.
