Let’s Keep All Options Open

It is my hope that the county will give all options equal consideration for reuse of the El Toro Marine Corps Air Station: university, entertainment, etc.
Residents who voted for an airport out of fear of a prison should now ask themselves, “Would a prison location be more compatible with an airport on the grounds or a university campus?”
The answer seems obvious. They may get both.
Why not try to keep Orange County the desirable residential community that attracted us to buy homes and live here in the first place?
Community spirit is enhanced around places to congregate that both old and young can enjoy, like a wonderful park with museums, etc., not a commercial airport.
