Cerplex Repair Contract

TUSTIN — Cerplex, which provides high-technology repair and other support services, has reached an agreement for a three-year repair contract with Hewlett Packard at an estimated value of $11 million. The company will be providing repair services for DeskJet, OmniBook, and fax and scanner equipment at a new Cerplex hub facility in Ontario.
The new facility near the Ontario Airport will encompass 70,000 square feet, with additional room for expansion. It will open July 15, operating initially on a single shift. The site will be in full operation by November with approximately 100 people on three shifts.
In addition to the new location, Cerplex operates facilities with printer and fax repair capabilities in Tustin; Newburgh, N.Y.; Lille, France; Livermore, Calif., and Lawrence, Mass.
