Datum to Fill 3 Chinese Orders

IRVINE — Datum Inc., a maker of timing instruments for telecommunications and aerospace industries, said that its Austron Division has received three orders from China with a total value of about $2.3 million.
Under a $1-million contract, the company will provide synchronization equipment for China’s primary interconnect network--the backbone of its telecommunications system.
Datum will provide similar systems to the city of Shanghai for about $750,000 and to the province of Heilongjiang for $600,000.
