Taking a Strong Green Stance

Not since the eco-binge of Earth Day 1990 has a mainstream magazine addressed the environment with the fervor of Metropolis, which devotes its entire September issue to sustainability. “The day of reckoning is at hand,” proclaims the introductory essay by Executive Editor Marisa Bartolucci.
It features a 130-pages report on the emerging green worlds of business, design and cyberspace. Two contrasting scenarios for the year 2030 set the scene, and a series of “Earthscore” boxes analyze the environmental costs of everything from an ear of corn to consumer electronics.
The magazine is available on some newsstands, or online at https://www.metropolismag.com.
