The Earle M. Jorgensen Co.: The Brea metals distributor said it lost $2.1 million for the second fiscal quarter, compared with a net loss of $11.2 million for the like period last year, which included a one-time restructuring charge of $12.8 million. Revenue for the quarter ended Sept. 27 rose 1% to a record $247 million from $243.4 million. Net income for the first half of fiscal 1997 was $3.6 million, contrasted with a year-earlier net loss of $8.1 million. Revenue declined to $505.4 million from $509.3 million.
