2 Landers Aftershocks

Two aftershocks of the 1992 Landers earthquake rumbled through the Little San Bernardino Mountains 11 miles east of Desert Hot Springs on Tuesday night, Caltech seismologists reported.
The strongest, a magnitude 4.4, occurred at 5:42 p.m. and was followed half an hour later by a 3.0 in the same location. Minor damage to some water lines but no injuries were reported.
There have been more than 60,000 aftershocks to the magnitude 7.5 earthquake of June 28, 1992. More than 150 have been in the 4.0 to 4.9 range.
