Loara (8-3) vs. Tustin (10-1)
7:30 P.M. FRIDAY
TUSTIN HIGH SCHOOL
Loara, the giant killers, will try to become Tiller-killers after upsetting heavily favored Irvine, 34-31, last week. A couple of weeks ago Loara went to the no-huddle offense against Kennedy and pulled out a win. Quarterback Archie Lappin has stayed with it most of the time since and it has helped the Saxons dictate the pace of the game. That could be a key Friday because Tustin, which does not have a deep bench, wilted under a no-huddle attack by Servite and lost, 50-40. Loara’s best chance at pulling out a victory is to keep the ball out of the hands of Tustin’s talented fleet-footed scatbacks.
