Santa Margarita 31, Tustin 0--Billy Newman rushed 21 times for 208 yards and scored four touchdowns to lead the second-seeded Eagles (12-1) to their first division final.
The story was Santa Margarita’s defense, which shut out Orange County’s single-season scoring leader. Tustin (11-2) entered with 613 points, 51.1 per game, and needed 47 to move into second place all-time in the Southern Section. The Tillers gained only 173 yards.
