Cowles Buys KitPlanes

IRVINE — KitPlanes Magazine, a publication for aviation enthusiasts, has been acquired by Cowles Enthusiast Media, a unit of Cowles Media Co. in Minneapolis. Terms were not disclosed.

KitPlanes, which publishes monthly, has a paid circulation of 83,000. The staff will remain the same and will continue to be based in Southern California, Cowles said.
