Was Mickey Edwards (Commentary, Jan. 5) on the planet Neptune during the 1996 election campaign?
President Clinton made his opposition to Props. 209 (affirmative action) and 215 (marijuana) crystal-clear months before the November voting. All one had to do to know this was read The Times, watch CNN or consult any other major news outlet.
This voter was certainly aware of the president’s positions. He got my vote anyway because it made not one whit of difference.
