Greathouse Right at Home Leading Buena Past Oxnard

Nicole Greathouse had 22 points and 11 rebounds to lead the Buena High girls’ basketball team to a 74-53 victory over Oxnard in a Channel League game Thursday night at Buena.
Stephanie Kinnear added 12 points, 10 rebounds and eight assists for Buena (9-1, 3-0 in league), ranked No. 1 in The Times regional poll.
Jaline Bradley, a sophomore guard, scored 19 points for Oxnard.
In other girls’ games:
Bell-Jeff 88, Cantwell Sacred Heart 31--Five players reached double figures for the No. 5-ranked Guards in a Camino Real League opener at Bell-Jeff.
Cheryl Flores had 14 points and seven steals for the Guards (15-1).
Ventura 75, Hueneme 44--Reserve freshman forward Alex Jientke scored 19 points for the Cougars (8-4, 1-2) in a Channel League game at Ventura.
Rhiannon Potkey had 12 points, eight assists and eight steals for Ventura. Monique Taylor scored 13 for Hueneme.
Newbury Park 44, Camarillo 39--The Panthers (4-9, 1-3) won the Marmonte League game behind 12 points by Amy Martin and 10 by Tara Gourley at Camarillo.
Jessica Mendoza had 16 points for the Scorpions (3-11, 0-4).
Harvard-Westlake 65, Notre Dame 36--Corrie Roberts had 17 points for the Wolverines (13-5, 2-0) in a Mission League game.
Alemany 73, Chaminade 24--Kelli Kobayashi scored 15 points and Devan Zumwalt had eight points and 10 rebounds for the Indians (11-2, 2-0) in a Mission League game at Alemany.
Louisville 59, Flintridge Sacred Heart 36--Rosie Chingcuangco had 18 points and seven steals for the Royals (9-3, 1-1) in a Mission League game at Flintridge.
Simi Valley 75, Agoura 57--Christina Mosesso led the Pioneers (11-6, 3-1) with 24 points in a Marmonte League game at Agoura. Shannon Malia (20 points) and Jamie Sturdivant (17 points) combined with Mosesso to set a school record for three-point baskets. The trio made 12.
BOYS
L.A. Baptist 90, Vasquez 44--Jermaine Sweet scored 32 points, including five three-pointers, in an Alpha League game at L.A. Baptist.
Quartz Hill 66, Saugus 60--Chris Hebert led the Rebels with 19 points in a nonleague game at Quartz Hill.
