Larry Curran; Trial Lawyer, Huntington Beach Civic Leader

Larry Curran, 59, Orange County trial lawyer and community leader. Known as a pit bull in courtrooms, Curran in private life was a selfless and tireless worker in the continuing development of Huntington Beach. He served as president and director of the Huntington Beach Public Facilities Corp., which developed the city’s civic center and blocked transformation of Beach Boulevard into a freeway. He was also the founding president and director of the Huntington Beach Library Patrons Foundation, which developed a children’s wing for the main library. Curran was active in several bar groups and had been secretary of the Orange County Bar Assn. On Jan. 4 in Santa Ana.
