Byron Scott’s response of Jan. 4 to Mr. Krawitz’s letter holds no water. Before one signs his name and accepts a position of his chosen profession, he also accepts the working conditions and working hours for which he will be responsible, including working during the Christmas season.

Good for you, Byron! Your answer to Mr. Krawitz’s letter was right on target. During your four-year tenure at Morningside High, where I was the administrator in charge of athletics, not only did I admire your excellence on the basketball court, but your high regard for family values as well. I am glad to learn that you still put family ahead of everything else.
