Clipper update--Guard Malik Sealy missed seven of eight shots when the Clippers’ four-game winning streak ended with a 102-98 loss at Washington on Friday night. Forward Rodney Rogers, who missed eight of 11 shots, has made only 10 of 44 in his last three games. The Clippers have split their first two games with the Timberwolves, winning, 81-70, on Nov. 10 at the Sports Arena and losing, 98-96, on Nov. 23 at Minneapolis.
Timberwolf update--Forward Tom Gugliotta, who is averaging a team-high 22.5 points and 9.1 rebounds per game, had 26 points and 11 rebounds when the Timberwolves beat the New Jersey Nets, 110-107, Thursday at the Meadowlands. Minnesota has won four of its last five home games and has a franchise-best 7-2 mark in his last nine games.
