Murray Wonders Where Time Went

Forward Lamond Murray, who averaged 22.4 minutes in November and 17.5 minutes last month, has averaged only 6.8 minutes in the Clippers’ first five games this month.
“My job is to come here and provide my services every night,” Murray said. “If I’m called upon I’ll get out there and play, that’s all I can do.
“I’ve been vocal in the past and said I want to do this and I want to do that and it’s cost me when it shouldn’t have. There’s nothing I can do, just hope things get better.”
Is it difficult for Murray to remain consistent when his playing time is inconsistent?
“Of course, I’ve never been consistent throughout this whole year,” Murray said. “The only thing that has been inconsistent has been my minutes. What can you do with one minute of time?”
Murray was 0 for 6 from the field in 26 minutes against Indiana on Wednesday night.

Guard Pooh Richardson, who sat out eight games because of a sprained right ankle last month, re-injured the ankle in Saturday’s 95-93 loss at Minnesota and wasn’t in uniform Wednesday.
Richardson, however, doesn’t think he’ll be sidelined for an extended period.
“It’s not as bad as it was before,” Richardson said. “I think I’ll be back within the next couple of days.”

Center Dwayne Schintzius, who sat out two games because of a stomach ailment last week, said tests were negative for an ulcer.
