SEASON AT A GLANCE: One of the most improved players on one of the region’s most improved teams, Bobik has led the Panthers to a first-place tie in the Marmonte League with third-ranked Simi Valley. The 6-foot-5 shooting guard averages 20.5 points, 7.6 rebounds, three assists and 4.5 steals for Newbury Park (12-7, 6-2 in league play).

WEEK AT A GLANCE: Bobik had 34 points, 10 rebounds and five steals in a 72-59 victory over Agoura on Friday. He shot 12 of 17 and made all six of his free throws to lead the Panthers to their fourth consecutive victory. Last Wednesday, Bobik scored 18 points in a 70-43 victory over Thousand Oaks.
