King update--When the Kings defeated the Whalers, 3-2, at Hartford on Nov. 2, they were a .500 team in the middle of a six-game unbeaten streak. They can only hope that they do not take a period off as they have in nearly every game since the All-Star break. In losses to New Jersey, San Jose, Dallas and Colorado, the Kings have had a period in each game where they gave up at least three goals.
