Fred Seibert in Deal With MTV
Fred Seibert, former president of Hanna-Barbera, has signed an exclusive deal to produce television programs for MTV Networks. Seibert left Hanna-Barbera last year when the company was merged into the television animation studio of Warner Bros. to reduce redundancies after Time Warner bought the cartoon factory’s parent, Turner Broadcasting System.
Seibert was part of the team that launched MTV: Music Television, and developed the MTV logo and look of the network. Before joining Hanna-Barbera, he ran a boutique advertising agency.
