Foster, Davis Chair Independent Awards

Jodie Foster and Ossie Davis are the honorary chairs of the 12th annual Independent Spirit Awards, taking place March 22 at a tent on the beach in Santa Monica.
This year’s awards, which will be broadcast the same night on cable’s Independent Film Channel, are hosted by actor Samuel L. Jackson with a keynote speech by director Mike Leigh. Portions of the Independent Spirit Awards will also be broadcast March 24 on the Bravo Channel--during commercial breaks from the network broadcast of the Academy Awards.
