Criminal Complaint Filed Against Adult Dance Club

The Los Angeles city attorney’s office filed a misdemeanor criminal complaint Monday against the Lingerie Oasis in Harbor City for allegedly operating too close to another adult entertainment business, officials said.
The complaint was filed against Ivette Gonzaga, 25, who operates the Lingerie Oasis in a mall at 1212 W. Pacific Coast Highway. Although Los Angeles Police Department vice officers allegedly observed lingerie-clad women performing lewd dances at the club, such dances are legal in private establishments.
But the club is in violation of an ordinance prohibiting adult entertainment establishments from operating within 1,000 feet of one another, said Deputy City Atty. Brian Williams, who filed the complaint.
Sun Accupressure, a massage parlor also on West Pacific Coast Highway, is less that 1,000 feet away, he said.
Gonzaga is scheduled to be arraigned March 26 in San Pedro Municipal Court. If convicted, she could receive up to six months in jail and a $500 fine.
She was not available for comment Monday.
