Hernandez, Strenger Named as Presidents

Rancho Santiago Community College District administrators Edward Hernandez and Dean Strenger have been named president of Santa Ana College and president of Santiago Canyon College, respectively.
Hernandez will take charge of the Santa Ana campus, the district’s Centennial Education Center, Garden Grove Center, Criminal Justice Training Center, Fire Training Center and Business and Industry Services Center. He was hired by the district in 1989 and has served as vice chancellor for student affairs.
Strenger, the district’s vice chancellor in charge of Santiago Canyon and its Orange Adult Learning Center, will continue in the same job, with only his title changing. He previously served as the district’s dean of science and technology for 17 years.
