City Atty. Hahn

How ironic. I returned from Sacramento, where I had argued before the California Supreme Court on behalf of the Los Angeles Police Department, and I read in The Times (March 6) that the Police Protective League says City Atty. James K. Hahn does not support its members in lawsuits. Either the PPL is misinformed, or leaders are not letting the facts interfere with their politics.
Police officers and police policies are being vigorously defended everyday by the attorneys in Hahn’s office. Had league leaders chosen to look at the office’s record in winning cases alleging police misconduct, they would have seen the truth.
