Pierce College Rodeo Rides Into Sunset

Pierce College’s annual rodeo, considered California’s largest college rodeo, has been canceled this year due to funding trouble and declining interest in the school’s agricultural department, which sponsors the event. The scheduled two-day intercollegiate competition, which had attracted crowds of 10,000 the past two years, would have been Pierce’s 41st Annual College Rodeo. Story, B1
