Northern Telecom Signs With Burlington

IRVINE — Burlington Air Express Inc. said Wednesday it has received a contract to handle Northern Telecom Ltd.’s air freight business in Europe.
Financial details were not disclosed, but Burlington Air said the contract involves more than 11 million pounds of cargo to be shipped between North America and several Northern Telecom sites throughout Europe and also calls for exports from Europe to Singapore and the United States.
Toronto-based Northern Telecom is a telecommunications company. Burlington Air’s United Kingdom operations will manage the business.
