Garden Show Will Offer Growing Tips

County residents can get tips on composting, conserving water and how to increase their yield of fruits and flowers by attending the Ventura County Home and Garden Show this weekend.

The event, scheduled from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. today and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday, will be held at Ventura County Fairgrounds at Seaside Park in Ventura.

Ventura County composting experts will field questions about gardening, composting and beneficial insects.

In addition, visitors can receive a free copy of the book “What Do You Do When Your Garden Has Bugs?”

The event is sponsored by the Ventura County Solid Waste Management Department and the cities of Ojai and Ventura. For information, call 654-3587.
