MAC ATTACK

The expected Fleetwood Mac reunion is taking shape. Plans are being made for the group’s most popular lineup--Lindsey Buckingham, Stevie Nicks, Christine McVie, John McVie and Mick Fleetwood--to do an “Unplugged”-style album and TV special before starting a worldwide concert tour. The album is scheduled to be released before the start of the tour, probably in late summer, with the special planned for MTV and VH1 airing, as well as a possible home video.
The recording sessions, in front of an invited audience, are tentatively set for May 16 and 17 at the Burbank Studios, with Rob Cavallo co-producing. The album will include three new songs in addition to selections from the group’s catalog. Meanwhile, release of solo albums from Buckingham (already completed) and Nicks (still being worked on) will probably be delayed until after the tour.
