Liz Phair, whose breakthrough “Exile in Guyville” album was a wicked song-by-song retort to the Rolling Stones’ “Exile on Main Street,” is finishing her new album at the same L.A. studio where the Stones are now starting their next one. Oh, to be a fly on the wall when they meet in the hallway. . . .
Aaron Neville is working on a solo album, due in the fall, with Tony Rich co-producing two tracks and duets planned with Roberta Flack and Linda Ronstadt.*
