Micro Therapeutics Posts $5.6-Million Loss

SAN CLEMENTE — Micro Therapeutics Inc., a developer and manufacturer of medical devices for the diagnosis and treatment of vascular disease, posted a 1996 net loss of $5.6 million, or $1.40 a share, compared with a net loss of $2.8 million, or 83 cents a share, for the prior year. Revenue increased to $1.4 million from $292,000.
