Officials from the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department released a composite sketch of a man who walked into a Long’s Drugs store in Westlake Village the evening of March 11, pointed a gun at a cashier and demanded cash.
The man robbed the Long’s Drugs at 1012 South Westlake Blvd. about 9 p.m., said a spokesman for the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department.
He used a weapon believed to be a sawed-off shotgun, the spokesman said.
After taking an undisclosed amount of money, he dashed out of the store.
He was last seen wearing a tan coat, black trousers, a black T-shirt with a white and red rock band logo and a black ski mask, authorities said. Witnesses describe him as a white man 18 to 22 years old, with acne, dark shoulder-length hair, about 5 feet 10 or 6 feet tall and 170 pounds.
Anyone with information is asked to call Det. Joe Braga of the department’s major crimes division at 494-8223. Tipsters can also call the Ventura County Crime Stoppers at 494-TALK. An award of up to $1,000 is offered for information that leads to an arrest and criminal prosecution.
