Two of Orange County’s best high school basketball players are participating in the McDonald’s All-American game in Colorado on Saturday, and are featured on the company’s Web site publicizing the event.
Chris Burgess of Woodbridge High School in Irvine and Eric Chenowith of Villa Park High School are two of the tallest players in the game, at 6 feet 10 and 7 feet 1, respectively. They were also two of the most sought-after players in the nation. Burgess has signed to play at Duke University and Chenowith at Kansas University.
The Web site has pictures and information about all 24 players participating in the game, plus a form that lets visitors to the site vote for their all-time favorite players, including Michael Jordan, who played in the McDonald’s game and went on to become college and professional stars.
