Davis Woman, 18, Dies in Car Crash

PLACENTIA — An 18-year-old woman from Davis was killed when the car in which she was riding crashed into a tree on a center median early Sunday, police said.
Orange County Fire Authority personnel and police also extricated the driver and another passenger from the car, which crashed in the 1000 block of East Yorba Linda Boulevard and sustained major damage.
There was no indication that alcohol played a part in the accident, which is under investigation, police said.
The identity of the woman was being withheld pending notification of relatives.
