Wahlco Environmental Systems Inc.: The Santa Ana designer and maker of air pollution control and power efficiency equipment, said it incurred a net loss of $10.8 million, or 61 cents a share, for 1996, compared with a net loss of $11.4 million, or 64 cents a share, for 1995. Revenue declined 28% to $43.1 million from $60.1 million. The company attributed the lower revenue to depressed markets in both the United States and overseas.

For the fourth quarter, the company lost $4.5 million, or 25 cents a share, compared with a year-earlier net loss of $8.1 million, or 46 cents a share. Revenue dropped 32% to $10.4 million from $15.2 million.
