Protect Beach Area From Waves of RVs
A plan to convert free beach access into pay RV camping on a large stretch of the Rincon Parkway between Emma Wood State Beach and the homes at Solimar is underway (“More Beach RV Parking Proposed,” April 16).
The Ventura County Parks Department is looking for money. There is a lucrative proposal for a multi-use recreational area near Camarillo, but this beach grab is a chance to reap immediate profit.
The area in question can be solid with cars on nice days already. It is insane to consider taking away any amount of beach access in this day and age.
The time to stop this is now. Even if you just want to be able to see the ocean when you drive along the Rincon, please contact your supervisor and register your protest.
