The latest member of the soul “retro-lution” movement (which includes D’Angelo and Maxwell) is blessed with a seductive voice that can be sexually forthright one minute and delicate the next. He handles some funk tracks well enough, but it’s ballads, including the sultry “Forgiveness” and the easygoing “Where Did Love Go,” that will win hearts. Lattimore plays Billboard Live on Monday.
