MAI Systems Corp.: The Irvine provider of information systems reported a net loss of $1.2 million, or 14 cents a share, contrasted with net income of $1.8 million, or 26 cents a share, for the first quarter of 1996. Revenue rose 14% to $16.8 million from $14.7 million.
