After a two-day carry-over in Hollywood Park’s Pick Six, there were two perfect tickets, worth $688,070 each Thursday. The payoff was the fourth-largest Pick Six in track history.
Although there was no early word on who had the winning tickets, one was bought at Bay Meadows in San Mateo and the other at the Meadowlands in East Rutherford, N.J.
For the first three races in the Pick Six, which covered the final six races on Thursday’s card, it appeared there would be a carry-over approaching $1.4 million for tonight.
After My Sister Jane scored a mild upset at $15.60 in the third, Shingen Warrior ($55.40) and Star’s Thee Law ($56.20) posted shockers in the next two races, but form prevailed in the last three races. Two favorites (Shorten Sail and Regal Rahy) and a third choice (To Be Khaled) won.
