Burbank Getaway Guide
With the Memorial Day kicking off the summer travel season, many people are using Burbank Airport to get out of town.
On a typical weekday at the airport, half of the flights are business-related, accounting for the heavy volume of passengers in the early morning, around noontime and in the late afternoon.
Airport officials give the following advice for travelers: Arrive an hour or more before takeoff, carry a picture ID and if possible, have someone drop you off at the airport instead of parking your car. For those carrying on electronic gadets, including computers, have them ready for quick inspection by security personnel.
