TIMES CHANGE, AND SO DOES LAS VEGAS

Max St. Yves approached the height of snobbishness in his letter (April 27) describing the “four-wheel-drive, wrinkle-free, fist- full-of-nickels yahoo wannabes” he finds in Las Vegas these days (“When Vegas Grows Up,” by Tom Gorman, March 16).
True, there are many more children at the hotels than in years gone by, and it may be that many appear to be running loose in the lobbies, but aren’t “ordinary people” as entitled to bring their children to Las Vegas as are the well-heeled, well-dressed individuals St. Yves seems to miss so much. Perhaps St. Yves should frequent one of the more stately hotels.
