Trash Cleanup Week to Benefit Venturans

Ventura residents will have an opportunity to unload extra trash, unwanted furniture and old appliances this week.
During the city’s annual Cleanup Week, residents may deposit twice the normal amount of trash without paying an extra fee.
Trash collectors will also take bulky items, such as stuffed chairs, mattresses, water heaters, televisions and refrigerators, for half the regular charge. Patrons should call Harrison Industries at 647-1414 one day in advance to have such items removed.
Residents should place their trash on the curb by 7 a.m. on their regular pickup day.
