I am a senior citizen and have tried for most of my adult life to believe (albeit with limited success) that the justice system in our country is, at least most of the time, just. No longer.
Merrill Lynch obviously wanted to “avoid an indictment” so it is paying $30 million to Orange County (June 20). If I wanted to avoid an indictment for wrongdoing, do you think the government would accept my $4.95?
