Santa Barbara-based Tenet Healthcare Corp. said fiscal fourth-quarter profit before charges rose 21%, beating estimates, although costs related to the acquisition of OrNda Healthcare resulted in a bottom-line loss. The second-largest U.S. hospital chain said profit from continuing operations climbed to $127.6 million, or 41 cents a share, from $104.9 million, or 35 cents, a year ago. . . .
