LAGUNA HILLS — A pistol-pointing man held up a Longs Drug Store on Saturday evening, fleeing on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash and checks, an Orange County sheriff’s lieutenant said.
The robbery occurred about 6 p.m. in the 24000 block of Paseo de Valencia near El Toro Road, said Lt. Rich Paddock. No shots were fired, but one clerk fainted.
Witnesses described the gunman as about 5 foot 8 or 5 foot 9, in his early 20s, with short-cropped hair, wearing a black or gray T-shirt and black pants. He may have a cross tattooed on his left hand and was carrying a .38-caliber chrome revolver.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Orange County Sheriff’s Department at (714) 288-6741.
