Mission San Juan Capistrano continues its outdoor summer concert series with a Gregorian chant night Saturday, featuring Schola Pacifica.
Schola was founded in 1993 by Benedictine monk Karl Nielson to keep alive the tradition of Gregorian chants.
The 12-member male choir is an ecumenical ensemble from San Diego and recently returned from a tour of the Dordogne region of France. The group has two CDs, “Best Loved Gregorian Chants” and “Anno Domini.”
Picnic dinners, blankets and chairs will be allowed at the two-hour concert, which starts at 6:30 p.m. in the Mission courtyard.
Tickets are $10 for adults and $9 for senior citizens.
