Council to Pick Mayor, Hear Plan for Housing

The City Council will hold a hearing on a proposed senior housing center and choose a new mayor at its meeting tonight.
The Marriott Corp. has proposed building senior housing at Imperial Highway and Eureka Avenue. The plot once was a strawberry patch with a produce stand.
The council is also set to choose a new mayor, who will preside over the meeting.
