* St. Francis High football Coach Bill Redell will be honored by the Pasadena/San Gabriel chapter of the National Football Foundation & Hall of Fame during its golf tournament Dec. 15 at Brookside Golf Course.
* Glendale College is hosting an over-the-line softball tournament Dec. 14. Cost is $25 for the four-member teams. It serves as a fund-raiser for the college’s baseball team.

* Former area high school coaches Mike Scyphers, Jack Willard and Rich Herrera will hold their annual Winter Baseball Day Camp at Pleasant Valley Park from Dec. 22-24.
Scyphers was the coach at Simi Valley High for 17 years, Willard was the coach at Camarillo and currently is the Channel Islands football coach, and Herrera was the coach at Westlake High.
