Dan Lambert scored in the fifth round of the shootout to lift the Ice Dogs to a 5-4 victory over the Indianapolis Ice (12-18) before 2,319 at the Long Beach Arena.
Patrick Augusta tied a franchise record with four goals and Russ Romaniuk added three assists for Long Beach (19-12), which snapped a four-game losing streak.
