Dixie Burton; Nederlander Theater General Manager

Dixie Burton, 58, manager of legitimate theater in Southern California and Hawaii. A native of Park City, Utah, Burton worked for the Nederlander organization, most recently as director of special events coordinating independent special bookings for its California theaters. She began her career as director of operations for the San Diego Playgoer Series. When Nederlander took over operation of the Los Angeles Civic Light Opera at the Music Center, Burton transferred to Los Angeles to handle its shows as well as those in San Diego. For several years, she shuttled among San Diego, Los Angeles and Honolulu, managing Nederlander operations in all three cities.
