Construction continues apace on the Colburn School of the Performing Arts on Hope Street in downtown Los Angeles as the new building’s superstructure takes shape. Ground was broken for the $28-million complex near the Music Center one year ago. Completion is scheduled for May. The Community Redevelopment Agency made the land available for the project, but private funds are financing its construction.
