ANAHEIM — Police were searching Friday for a 31-year-old Anaheim man suspected of stabbing a longtime rival in the neck during a Christmas night street fight, police said.
Pete Anthony Moreno is sought in connection with an 11:19 p.m. attack that left Kevin Thomas Winters, 30, of Villa Park hospitalized in stable condition at the UCI Medical Center in Orange, said Anaheim Police Sgt. Kahle Switzer.
Winters told police he confronted Moreno near the suspect’s apartment, the latest showdown in an ongoing conflict, Switzer said. Winters’ black Toyota Land Cruiser was also stolen from the 1700 block of West Juno Avenue, police said.
The investigation into the stabbing is ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to call investigators at (714) 254-1967.
